Ong-hye-ya is a folk song from Kyeong-Sang-Do, a province in the southern part of Korea, set here with expertise by Hye-Young Cho, a leading composer in South Korea. It is a work song sung by farmers when processing barley and is based on a pentatonic scale, mostly on Mi, La, and Do. This is an incredibly impressive arrangement that includes a virtuosic tenor solo.
