Description
Program note
Calling for a virtuosic focus and muscles, this work demands the player to create a singular cohesiveness. Set in four chapters, each movement generates the following one. The first movement introduces, the second one in a masculine-hormone-driven tempo, the third movement embodied a far-away tenderness, wrought with latent tension; while the banging repetitive motives of the last movement should be executed at once with abandonment and in control.
A portraiture, a stencil drawn of the portrait of a person once known. It is a memory-recounting of a person’s four sides seen and heard through another’s lens, through intimacy and distance. It is not exact, it might only be a remapping of one’s own memory-puzzles and a brain-map.
